Megan Alder is a vocal wonder. Playing swing classics and modern hits, this one-woman band energizes audiences of all ages. Megan's original songs are designed for dancing. She connects people to her music with quirky anecdotes detailing her life on the road and in the woods. Her self-recorded EP is available now. She is based in the Columbia River Gorge.

Megan grew up in Gettysburg, PA performing on flat bed trucks.  Her father, a self-taught guitarist and crooner, constantly provided new songs and instruments to learn.  She joined a rock band, upped her vocal chops with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, and won Battle of the Bands her senior year.

She moved south and pursued an education in arts administration.  Megan lost her father in 2009, her musical touchstone.  In grief, she abandoned her craft.  After a few years in the office, Megan felt incomplete.  She drove west in search of a new life, stopping at open mics and entertaining at camp fires.  Megan met inspiring musicians who encouraged her talent.  Upon arriving in the Pacific Northwest, she realized she had not found a new life; but rather, she had reconnected with her former self.  Her music had followed her across the country and demanded the attention that it deserved.

Megan continued her road trip and began gigging full time.  She hunted down new music at bluegrass jams in Seattle, with swing cats in New Orleans, and at old-time fiddle festivals in Weiser, ID.  She started writing again and put down roots in Lyle, WA.  She built an off-grid music studio to write and hone her craft.

Megan now tours across the US as a solo performer and with her full band performing original music and traditional Americana.  Her raw passion, drive to succeed, and positive energy are inspiring and fun.  Megan is a versatile performer with a professional eye for events.  Watch the journey as this star continues to rise.
